A member asked:

I had blood allergy testing and nothing came up as a sensitivity but my immunoglobulin e result was <2. what can this mean? cortisol is 0.9 as well

Inconclusive: High IgE levels may be seen in people with lots of allergies, hit there other causes. People with aited number of allergies can have normal IgE levels also so the test has very low sensitivity for proving or disproving an allergy condition. Specific antigen testing by blood test also can miss allergies. Skin testing may be more sensitive. Discuss with an allergist.
