A member asked:

What does low immunoglobulin g subclass 2 on blood work mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Low gamma globulin: By itself, a slightly low level of one igg subclass is a very nonspecific finding. A very low level would be worrisome, but really, what is needed is to look at this information in the context of vaccine responses to Pneumovax vaccine. If the functional antibodies made by the immune system are at normal levels, the gross levels of antibody are less worrisome.
