Lymph node: Usually if lymph nodes are swollen it may take 6 weeks for the nodes to return to normal.

Not necessarily: What did the dentist say? If your dentist felt as if you needed further antibiotic treatment, he or she would have given it to you.

Dental infection: If the infects tooth was removed the area should heal. It may take some time for this to happen. If you are concerned about a lingering infection see your dentist again to have the area checked.

Yes, you need: If you have had a bad infection that puts you at high risk for developing a severe infection, you may need to take antibiotics before and after the extraction. Just follow your dentist instructions.
