Have you any information about your medical history so we can help you learn why your B12 level is down (specifically results of your Schilling test)? B12 can be supplemented orally, by nasal spray, by shot--talk with your doctor about which formulation is appropriate for you.

Meds,GI problems,PA: Pernicious anemia = production of antibodies against one's own "intrinsic factor"(helps absorb B12) or parietal (acid producing) cells in stomach is an important cause of B12 deficiency, & can be tested for. Meds to suppress stomach acid (eg omeprazole, lansprazole,, over-the-counter in U.S.) can prevent absorption of B12.Types of gastritis (stomach inflammation) can also, as can Crohn's disease.
