P waves: The P wave reflects the area of your heart in which your heart beat arises - usually high in the right atrium. Abnormal P waves can indicate that your heart beat is arising in a different location, but as long as your heart rate is normal and the rest of the EKG is normal, this is not serious and often just a normal variation.
