Ask your doctor!: 2 mg is a low dose of diazepam. While it is wise to use the lowest dose that helps, diazepam is more commonly prescribed as 5 mg and some people even take 10 mg. Thus, it is considered safe for most to take 4 mg, but as I (and other docs here) did not prescribe this we are not legally authorized to suggest you double your dose. Please ask the doctor who prescribed this if it's OK to do this.
