Been prescribed diazapam 2 mg for anxiety but it doesent seem to do anything is this the usaual dose for this or not.

Tolerance: 2mg is a low dose of diazepam. It is a medicine that induces tolerance, or the need for gradually higher doses for the same effect. You may need a higher dose than you're currently taking to control input symptoms. Please note that benzodiazepines are not a good long-term solution for anxiety because of tolerance and habituation factors -- psychotherapy, however, can be much longer lasting.
