A member asked:

My neurologist wants me to get a mri because of frequent has but i got one in 2012. is it really necessary? will my brain have changed that fast?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A good rule to: follow would be, get an MRI when: the headaches become more frequent or change from their typical characteristics. Also, depending on your situation, he/she may be doing different sequences of MRI (e.g. MRA to look at blood vessels, fine cuts through orbits, etc).
