See below: Seems like you are describing hypnopompic hallucinations ("dream like state"), hypnic jerks ("zaps"), ; sleep paralysis, which indicates disrupted sleep pointing to a sleep disorder such as narcolepsy or sleep apnea, esp. If you have daytime sleepiness. Speak to your neurologist about it, ; if recommended by him/her a sleep dr. Can evaluate ; treat it. Regularize your sleep times. Hope that helps!
