Following an injury to the brain of any sort, such as stroke, with or without bleeding, gradual healing reaches maximal recovery by 18-24 months, and most occurs within 12 months. The headaches can easily be handled at this point utilizing drugs for migraine or steroids, and even OTC products might work (e.g., riboflavin, butterbur, magnesium, CoQ10). Ask neurologist.
