I had a lump on my thyroid, doctors said it was thyroid nodule i have biopsy done and its was a epidermoid cyst. but i dont think its that. any suggs?

Epidermoid cyst: Is there reason to doubt the pathology report? It provided a specific histologic diagnosis of an entity that can be found in the thyroid region?

I have a thyroid nodule that's 2.7cm that is affecting my lymph node in my neck. I've had many biopsies done, all benign. Doc said that they can remove part of the thyroid. Is this really necessary? Don't they try thyroid meds first?
