Nerve compression: Your symptoms are suggestive of a nerve entrapment problem;most commonly the median nerve @your wrists(carpal tunnel syndrome) or your ulnar nerve @your elbows(cubital tunnel syndrome).See your PCP or orthopedic surgeon for examination and definitive diagnosis.Best of Luck!

Neck Problem.: Probably the correct answer is the one that Dr Trettin gave you. Howeve;r considering the fact that this only occurs when you are laying down, inicates that maybe this has something to do with your neck position at rest, which would indicate a different pathology, such as nerve root compression of your neck. A simple test called and EMG would indicate the difference between the two conditions.
