Tramadol: Tramadol doses are usually recommended to be spaced 8 hours apart. Ibuprofen products can be used in between these doses if pain recurs early.

Yes if so directed.: You're correct. The maximum dosage of tramadol is 400 mg/day. This could be divided into 100 mg every 6 hours provided this doesn't exceed the prescribing directions on your bottle.
