Edema: What was the result of ECHOcardiogram? Do you have heart or liver failure. Edema, medical term for swelling due to increased fluid retention common due to both Heart and Liver disease. If work up is negative check Urine Protein for Nephrotic Syndrome, or loss of protein in Urine. If all of the above work up is negative consider venous stasis.
