Not abnormal: If a person is making too much mucous for whatever reason, it is normal for it to come out of the nose and mouth. Often mucous from the sinuses will drain in the back of the nose, drip into the throat, and cause a cough. Some of the mucous will run out of the nose too. Smoking increases your risk of having lots of nasal and throat congestion, so I suggest working on a plan to quit smoking.
