Need more info.: If you are seeing mucous loose and floating on the eye, it sounds like pink eye. Ok to use warm compresses and wait. Pain? Appt sooner. If eye is itchy and white of eye looks swollen and like clear jelly, then it sounds like allergy. Use cold compresses and OTC eye drops like Visine A. Make app earlier if she seems ill with fever, etc.
