Is it possible to have ptosis after problems with the tear gland? my daughter had left eye with pus for 2 months, after she was born. no tears, ptosis and red and swollen lid for the same eye. now she has tears but the ptosis doesnt go away?

There may have been an infection of the tissues around the eye. The persistent ptosis should be evaluated by an Opthalmologist at a Children’s center. They will be able to recommend treatment.
