See MD: At this point the over the counter medications are not sufficient. Evaluation for serious issues by a doctor need to be done. Blood in these places is not normal and requires evaluation by a doctor in person.

Needs GI: He needs to see a GI doctor ASAP and should really have a scope from top (EGD) and below (Colonoscopy). Best wishes.
