Depends: Depends on what is is the infusion. You should have a consultation with the physician who is prescribing the infusion. If you do not get a good answer get a second opinion from a pediatric endocrinologist.

? Immunodeficiency: You didn't state why your son is receiving infusion, and what kind? Most probably it's IVIG infusion, and probably he has some sort of immune problem. Kindly ask the treating physician for more eduction on your son's condition; as for the IgM, if it is a 1ry immunodeficiency problem,it is likely to remain low,and goal of treatment isn't to increase it, rather to provide him with passive immunity
