Iron level 26 tibc 507 ferritin 5.0 what does this all mean please help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Iron deficiency: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your results indicate iron deficiency and it would do you good to take oral iron supplements. It is important to establish why you are iron deficient. In women it is usually due to menstrual blood loss. Please consult your doctor.
