What is a reason to have a leep done in the o.r. vs. the office? doc preference or possible discoveries/ complications indicated by prev. tests?

LEEP: Some patients have higher risk medical issues and that would require OR time for the LEEP. Patients particular anxious or who didn't tolerate the biopsy well also warrant possible OR time. Otherwise its a decision you and the doc should make assuming he/she is set up to do it in the office.

Can squamous metaplasia cause an ASCUS pap result? Had leep for cin 2, 10 months ago. Just had f/u pap, came back ASCUS w/ squamous metaplasia. F/u colpo showed no lesions. Doc said 1 year pap f/u now. Likelihood Ill get CIN grade again by then?
