Try to avoid: Would try to avoid repeated leep procedures unless you have significant dysplasia. Leep does not treat the underlying problem (hpv) and will not guarantee normal pap smears in the future. If you want to have children, repeated procedures may weaken the cervix and cause problems.

Leep done for CIN 3. Clear margins. Pap smear 3 months later reads mild abnormalities. Doc says it's just inflammation. Then wouldn't it read ascus?
Can squamous metaplasia cause an ASCUS pap result? Had leep for cin 2, 10 months ago. Just had f/u pap, came back ASCUS w/ squamous metaplasia. F/u colpo showed no lesions. Doc said 1 year pap f/u now. Likelihood Ill get CIN grade again by then?
