Stay well: That systolic BP is not that bad at all. Stay well, eat healthy, exercise regularly, do not smoke, do not use excess salt, and you will be fine.

Dont worry: It is fairly normal for systolic BP to fluctuate based on stress levels and time of day. We would like your average to be less than 130, and below 120 is ideal. It helps to avoid anti-inflammatory and decongestant (sinus) medications, salty foods such as those found in restaurants, and to increase your exercise. Check your BP a few times a day, and take the numbers into your doctor to be sure.

Blood pressure: Blood pressure is not a static or constant number -- it is affected by anxiety, activity and foods or drinks as well as salt intake and weight. Adopt a healthy life style by Avoiding salt, Limiting alcohol intake, avoiding tobacco products and if you are over-weight modifying your diet to lose weight. Exercise such as walking daily will help also.
