Healing: If you are bruised the bruises will stay longer if you get sunburned or tanned. Also, if your nose is numb you may burn it or induce swelling.

Rhinoplasty: Sun exposure increases the risks of skin cancer. What is the point of undergoing a rhinoplasty only to have a large skin cancer excised from the nose later. Please avoid it. Additionally, if there are incisions on your nose, pigmentation deposition can occur in your scar with sun exposure.

Rhinoplasty: After any procedure there is a healing phase. The nose is swollen and requires rest, keeping the head elevated at night, use of ice and staying out of the hot sun. The sun will increase swelling during the first weeks. Thereafter, you should use sunscreen to protect the nose skin.
