A member asked:

I have been diagosed with fibromyalgia. how can i manage it so i am not always tired and in pain.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Is it Fibro ?: There really isn't much of a test for FMS other than tender points. It's a diagnosis of exclusion in my experience. I never give it out unless Insurance forms need a diagnosis when it can't be figured out. Fibromyalgia can be active Lyme infection or something more serious: chiari malformation, vertebral artery issues in the brain, etc. Pain is from inflammation ! and inflammation causes pain.
