Lack of pressure points does not exclude fibromyalgia. It would be prudent to consult a rheumatologist for an in-person evaluation. Wish you good health!

The tender points of fibromyalgia can wax and wane. It basically depends on who was looking for these points. An experienced physician should be able to find them if present, while patients looking for them may miss them. It is also important to sort out whether your pain is coming from muscle or joints when you mention that the pain is all over. Joint pain would be arthritis and not FM.

Several conditions can cause diffuse pain and often are erroneously diagnosed as fibromyalgia. Many patients have small fiber neuropathy, while others suffer complex regional pain syndrome. Get second opinion
