I'm very desperate to gain weight. i do weight training 3x/week, easy to lose fat but it is very difficult to increase muscle mass. 115 lbs, 5'6"?

Muscle confusion: Don't do same routines every time. Always keep your muscles guessing. Make sure you have a nice healthy protein load within 30 minutes of your workouts. And keep eating small meals throughout the day after you work out. Don't starve yourself.
