What is cradle cap, and how long does it take to get rid of it on a 3-month old little baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cradle cap: Also known as seborrhea capitis. Think of it as baby dandruff. Often there will be some small red bumps on the scalp and around the ears. There may be yellow scale in the scalp. Traditional treatment is to apply mineral oil to the yellow crust, massage for a while, then comb out. Wash hair after. Treat several x a week. For severe case consult a doctor. Usually goes away in a few months.
