Structure/consist: Children with adhd lack the internal processes that those without adhd develop by 4th or 5th to efficiently organize their lives; this may get better with time, or not. Medications help slightly with increased focus and attention to detail, but the major success is external, consistent expectations tailored to where the child fails. Lots of excellent books on this.
