Behavioral treatment: The Concerta can slow down the motor & improve focus but it does not change behavioral trends. About 1/3+ of these kids have co-existing learning problems that will need attention. They also need counseling directed at learning self monitoring/control. Combined therapy allows the best possibility for a good outcome.
