Yes: Likely not a major issue but if you have an uncontrolled lung problem, see a pulmonologist for X-rays and likely pulmonary function tests

Changes in your lung: A chest x-ray would be more important to exclude other medical conditions which could mimic or complicate asthma treatment. You might want to discuss with your doctor adding an inhaled steroid to your asthma regiment. Of course if you are smoking you should quit as soon as possible.
