86 year old male ct scan showing emphysematous changes at the visualized lung bases pcp saying not to worry just do breathing exercises. oxygen level always over 95 % x-ray of lungs is clear. pcp gave inhaler as a precaution. any advice?

I would rate this as stage 1 emphysema with essentially no symptoms listed. However I'm curious as to the reason that a chest ct scan was ordered. . In the absence of smoking, asthma, or chronic bronchitis, I would not expect rapid worsening in this 86 year old gentleman. A pulmonologist could be consulted if there are still concerns.
