You need to be seen by a doctor to examine you and help figure out the source of your pain. This could be a musculoskeletal problem but it could also be referred pain from the lining around the lung (pleura) or the lung itself. You may need testing like X-ray or CT scan to figure it out. If you smoke, you really need to quit and your doctor can help with this. So, see your doctor soon. Good luck.
