Radiofrequency: RF ablation for the nerves supplying the facet joint in the spine are very effective and can provide relief for more than a year at a time. The catch is that it has to be done by a properly trained physician who understands the fine skills that are required and can provide a safe treatment. You will need two diagnostic blocks which can basically prove that the pain is from those joints.
