ParoxysmalHemicrania: is classified as trigeminal autonomic cephalgia. . Headache attacks are usually distributed equally throughout the day and night and, similar to a cluster headache, may awaken the patient from sleep. The intensity of the headache is described as moderate to severe with a throbbing, boring or stabbing quality. Almost all cases of Paroxysmal Hemicrania are relieved by indomethacin.

Migraine variant: There are a number of migraine variants which can present this way, but occipital neuralgia can do this too. Would wonder about use of Lorcet (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) which could cause rebound if migraine is culprit. Suggest neurology evaluation.
