What to do if i cut my thumb open a couple weeks ago and i had surgery to fix a tendon, how do i know if the tendon ruptured?

Function: Whichever movement was facilitated by the presence of that tendon would be lost and you would no longer have that movement. It would also be likely to be very painful.
