Usually not: You're calling this advanced, and the objective of treatment is eradication. So the regimen may require surgery, radiation, and/or chemo. What your doctors think is necessary for a cure; ask them for a full explanation of treatment strategy and options.

Not really: Advanced fibrosis may have physical effects that no medicine will be able to reverse If select situations surgery may be the only choice
