Hematemesis: Ovarian cysts don't cause vomiting of blood. Inflammation of the stomach lining or a peptic ulcer are likely causes. Your friend should consult with her physician for diagnosis and treatment.

Need to be seen: A 6/7 cm cyst is not normal, and needs to be followed up. Vomiting blood is not good, and she should probably be evaluated as soon as possible.
