Protocol: We as pediatricians generally follow protocols recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics which outlines a series of medications in a particular order felt to best eliminate chronic or recurrent ear infections. One problem with using multiple facilities for your care is that the lack of communication makes it difficult to follow this protocol. Stick with one doctor who is familiar with it
