Morning, midday, bed: Amoxicillin orally taken for an ear infection can be done into 3 doses each day. First dose is with breakfast, around 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. Third dose is before bedtime, around 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Middle dose is about halfway in between. In an ear infection situation, we don't worry too much about exactness. That means taking a dose 2 hours early or 2 hours late won't make any difference.
