It can also be performed using the tumescent technique, in which targeted fat cells are infused with a saline containing solution with a local anesthetic before liposuction to reduce post-operative bruising and swelling. Facial liposuction: Modern liposuction consts of placing tumescent solution in the area to be treated. This solution consists of lactated ringers or normal saline, reduces pain (using lidocaine) and reduces bruising/bleeding (using epinephrine). Cannula then are used to extract the solution and the fat. Compression garments are used to keep a good contour. This can be done on the face and neck if desired.

Proceed cautiously: 400 characters is not sufficient to provide you with adequate info about facial liposuction. In general, you should proceed with caution as the face has very vew localized fatty deposits and these are very close to the surfcae resulting in greater potential for visible irregularites. Currently the trend favors adding fat to the face rather than extracting it and causing a gaunt appearance.
