A member asked:

I was wondering is facial liposuction the same as buccal fat removal?

Not same: Facial liposuction is not as specific. Buccal fat removal is for someone with chubby cheeks where a specific area that contains the buccal fat pad is treated. The fat there is reduced resulting in a more slender face.

No: Buccal fat pad removal is a specific operation which removes a portion of the buccal fad pad through a small incision inside the mouth. Liposuction is not used for this. Facial liposuction is a generic term for liposuction of the face. Liposuction is more risky above the jawline compared to liposuction of the areas below the jawline and under the chin. Seek a board certified plastic surgeon.
