A member asked:

I was told from a kidney dr. that my kidney walls have cell damage &don't concentrate sodium properly & it leads 2 repeated bouts of low salt. ideas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Salt losing disease: It sounds as if you have an interstitial nephritis (I). Patients with I lose salt in their urines and have to ingest large amounts of salt to prevent their depletion of it by their kidneys not being able to conserve it. See a nephrologist for more information in your case. Good luck.
