Get to a doctor: or ER. Stabilization is key for fractures as it will help with pain and prevent any further damage. An X-ray can confirm if there is a fracture and treatment can be either casting , splinting or surgery depending on the fracture.

X-rays are use to: follow fracture healing, if there was a plate placed which is likley with an injury to both bones, in an adult then healing may not be overly apparent initially as the healing occurs via what is known as endosteal healing. this is good as it means the fracture is stable and clean. Splint or cast is often used until soft tissue swelling reduces,EARLY motion MAY be offered but each injury different

Followup: You certainly would want to be followed up to make sure everything that needs to be done is done to ensure a good outcome.
