Symptoms: Symptoms such as Fever, chills, frequent painful urination are all symptoms of an infection in your kidneys. Your doctor may tap on your back over your kidneys. Pain when he does this is another sign of a kidney infection. Finally, tests of your urine will show white cells, bacteria and other things that help a doctor know you have an infection.

Did you obtain culture and sensitivity test on the urine specimen, if you did that and treated and did not help i will take an x-ray flat abdomen, some time this show if you have stones.
