Yes it can: Uti is common in females due to the anatomy of the urethra . Yes urinalysis can provide valuable information in diagnosing and treating kidney , bladder and urethral disease. It is a simple test which can be performed in most of the physician offices using a dip stick. Urine samples can be send to the labs for more extensive studies based on the intial results.

Yes, some of them: Urinalysis often is not diagnostic but provides information toward additional investigation. If your doctor says it is uti, it probably is just that.
