YES: A kidney infection usually requires longer therapy than 5 days (typically 10-14 days), and also requires imaging to assess for a kidney abscess or hydronephrosis (dilation of the urinary tract to abnormal size). Have the doctor reassess what is going on.

I would...: Suggest that you do. He or she may want to do a follow up urine culture and I am sure your doctor would want to know if you are having these symptoms.
