Clarify: Don't think you really mean allergic, in it the strict scientific sense. Many are intolerant to the caffeine component, which incidentally is reduced with "decaf", but not eliminated. Not sure what you are meaning here. Rephrase.

Type of reactions?: ONe needs to know more about what kind of reactions you had to ascertain whether it was an allergic one or not. Theoretically, roasting may alter the allergens in foods and mostly making it less allergenic with some exceptions such as peanut which may become more allergenic after roasting. Contamination of coffee bean with castor bean had also been reported to be an issue at one time.
