It is normal 100%: It is a serious surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. It is normal to have slight fever, bruised cheeks, slight bleeding. Pain and swelling following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. Do not remove temporary denture (only for cleaning 2X/day). Get well soon.

After extractions: What you describe is very normal. The more teeth removed at one time the more bleeding, swelling, bruising. Your dentist should go over with you what to expect and what to do or avoid meanwhile. He/she should also see you for follow up care until healing well established. If you were not schedule for that, call and request to be seen.
