A member asked:

Would it be safe to expect with a scs or should it be removed and replaced after pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spinal cord stim: It is safe to become pregnant and deliver with a spinal cord stimulator in place. Vaginal delivery is fine. Some spinal cord stimulators may be inactivated or unable to charge the battery if a monopolar electro cautery (bovie) is used during a caesarean section. Discuss with your obstetrician.
